Looking for a lovely camping spot in central Utah, may I suggest Green River State Park. It was a lovely campsite, with lots of shade. It had a Frisbee golf course and other fun amenities as well as showers and flush toilets, and electrical hook ups. all wonderful features. and there are some fun things to do in the area. As an activity we brought glow bracelets. The kids love these! they love to make balls and play catch in the dark. This time they discovered they could spin them really fast and it looked so cool. Glow bracelets are a must for camping with kids.
Crystal Geyser
Crystal Geyser is not the name I would have given this geyser, however it was cool to be able to check it out. I have seen many geysers particularly up in Yellowstone. sometimes it is nice to see things like this not at a National Park, because you have a little more freedom to actually explore it and check it out for real - To actually experience it.
Swasey's Beach
We then headed to Swasey's Beach. Off of I-70 Turn on to Hasting's road, and then drive, for a while. you will see it on the left hand side.
Green River claims it is the only White Sand Beach in the state. It is right on the river, and it isn't on a very calm spot of the river, so it made me a bit nervous for my kids to go play very far in the water. But they enjoyed playing in the water.
